Christina Cullins was born in August of 1990 and raised in Redondo Beach they found solace and inspiration in the world of art from an early age. From the time she could walk and talk she was an adventurous and inquisitive child-crafting dyes out of the neighborhood flowers, making mud pies, and creating bug hotels with friends. As they got older, her parents encouraged her adventurous side with family camping trips in the summers, ski trips in the winter, dirt bike riding day trips, and soccer games every weekend. Moreover, their love of adventure was only rivalled by her love of creation. As a child she loved creating drawings for her neighbors and began writing poetry in middle school. Her mother taught her how to sew and crochet emboldening her desire to create.

As she grew into adulthood she began a new journey in painting, diving into any medium they could get her hands on. Her love of color was further stirred by her love of the exploration in traveling. From the Rainforests of Costa Rica, to the beaches of the Dominican Republic, scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef, and everything in between including coming out as Queer, Chris has taken all those memories and experiences and used them as inspiration to fuel her art.

Currently, as a middle school teacher, Chris has found new inspirations through the guiding young minds in growing and discovering themselves in which she feels incredibly grateful.Now, after many years of wanting to start her business, with the support of loved ones she has pushed through her fears and anxiety to put in the work to make her dream to come true. The name of the business, ‘LightBulb’ for those that may wonder, was born from a childhood nickname given to them from one of her favorite older cousins. It stands as a reminder of the love and support given to her by her family and the importance of surrounding oneself with love and authentic humans. Her vision is to create art that resonates with people from all walks of life, embracing diversity, and representing the rich tapestry of human experiences.
